Northants teenager Duckett selected for UAE jaunt with England

Ben Duckett will be spending his winter in the middle east with England Under-19s.

The Northamptonshire wicketkeeper-batsman has been named in an 18-man squad for the triangular series with the UAE and Pakistan and the ICC Under-19 World Cup.

The tri-series will take place in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in December with the World Cup, which will also be staged in the UAE, following in February next year.

Joining Duckett in the England Development Programme set-up will be Peterborough Town off-spinning all-rounder Rob Sayer who is on the Leicestershire Academy.

There is further good news for the County with Academy player Matt Taylor selected for the Under-17 programme.

Taylor will train with his 16 other team-mates at Loughborough over the winter before a trip to Sri Lanka next Easter that will include fixtures against the Sri Lankan Under-17 side.
