Evans not officially on the County’s radar
Evans, who is in the final year of his contract at Edgbaston, is one of a numberof players on Ripley’s radar as he seeks to strengthen his hand for the 2015
campaign.
And while he didn’t dismiss any interest the club may have in the 26-year-old, he stated that a loan enquiry hadn’t been followed up.

“We think he’s a good player and we were intereested when he left Surrey but he’s one of a few lads that we’re interested in bringing here.”
There is expected to be some movement among the County’s ranks with a number of players out of contract in September and Ripley admitted that the process of
rebuilding is already tentatively under way.
“It’s that time of year where you’ve got to be at the races or you can get left behind,” he added.

“You’ve almost got to try and second guess what you’re going to need and line up a pecking order of people you’d like if they become available.
“It’s certainly a tricky time of year because you’ve got your own decisions to make while looking at who’s about.
“You can get some good players who have just been released by other counties but ideally you’d like to get the player who can really help your squad and that brings in agents and whatever cash they’re after.
