Duckett stars in World Cup warm-up victory
Northamptonshire batsman Ben Duckett top-scored for England Under-19s as they made short work of their Scottish counterparts in Dubai.
The 14-a-side (11 players batting) friendly took place at the ICC Academy in Dubai and forms part of England’s build-up for the Youth World Cup that gets under way on Friday.
Batting first, England racked up 281-4 from their 50 overs with Duckett’s 68-ball 92 the outstanding effort.
In reply, the Scots could only muster 128 as they went down by 153 runs with Chris Sole’s 20 constituting their top score.
England get their tournament up and running against Sri Lanka on Sunday.
