Worcestershire will be the visitors this year on Tuesday, July 29, and chief executive David Smith hopes that the concept will be a success.

He said: “I am delighted that we will be returning Northants first team cricket to Campbell Park, Milton Keynes.

“The club is committing to one 50-over game for the next three years as we try really hard to try and establish a strong partnership between Northants Cricket and Milton Keynes.

“I very much hope that the local business and cricket community will support us in this venture.”

The last time the club used the ground, which is Stony Stratford’s home in the NCL Premier Division, for a first team fixture was in 2011 when they also faced Worcestershire in the Twenty20 Cup.
