All-rounder Taylor named in Northants team for Hampshire friendly
All-rounder Tom Taylor will get his first taste of red-ball cricket in a Northants shirt when the County's pre-season friendly at Hampshire gets underway on Thursday.
The start of the two-day match was delayed due to light drizzle, but Taylor, who signed from neighbours Leicestershire at the back end of the truncated 2020 season, has been named in the 13-man squad.
All-rounder Taylor is the only fresh face in in familiar-looking County team that is led by Adam Rossington, and also includes one-day skipper Josh Cobb.
All 13 players are expected to play a part in the friendly encounter, which is scheduled for 90 overs play each day.
Hampshire s team includes England batsman James Vince and South African Kyle Abbott.
