Northamptonshire will face neighbours Leicestershire in the new 50-over domestic limited overs competition next season.
They have also been handed attractive fixtures against both Yorkshire and Lancashire in the group stages.
The draw for the as yet unsponsored tournament, which will replace the Yorkshire Bank 40, was made last weekend with the format altered slightly from the one used this season.
There will be two groups of nine instead of three of six with only the 18 first-class counties involved leaving no room for Scotland, the Netherlands or the Unicorns.
Sides will play each other once with the top four from each group advancing to the quarter-finals.
Group A: Nottinghamshire, Glamorgan, Middlesex, Surrey, Somerset, Durham, Kent, Warwickshire, Sussex.
Group B: Northants, Leicestershire, Yorkshire, Worcestershire, Derbyshire, Essex, Gloucestershire, Lancashire, Hampshire.
