Bath heartbreak will drive Saints prop Ethan in LV= Cup Final at Exeter

Ethan Waller will use his Wanderers final disappointment to drive him on at Sandy Park on Sunday.
The loosehead prop was part of the Saints second team which suffered a 29-20 defeat to Bath United in the Aviva A League final in December.
That Franklin’s Gardens reverse was tough to take, but some of the players involved now have the chance to make amends in the LV= Cup trophy bid this weekend.
And Waller, who has started Saints’ past two games, is one of the men desperate to claim the silverware at the expense of Exeter Chiefs.
“It’s massively spurring me on,” said the 21-year-old, who starts on the replacements bench at Sandy Park.

“I’m ready to put in a massive performance.
“Losing in the A League final was really disappointing for me. It was something we wanted after coming so close with the Wanderers in the past few years.
“But now I’m going to use that as motivation for next weekend.”
Having won their last 13 games, Saints are still on the hunt for trophies on three fronts.
And Waller said: “There’s a really good feel around the place. It’s the best it’s been in a couple of years.
“We got to the final with the Wanderers and there’s a real belief that this season is coming to a great climax for the first team.”
