Royal family release unseen photo of the Queen and Prince Philip with their great-grandchildren
An unseen photo has been released of the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and their great-grandchildren, as the royal family share memories of Prince Philip.

Hide AdThe family photo shows the Monarch with her husband, Prince Philip - who died aged 99 on 9 April - surrounded by seven great-grandchildren.
The Duchess of Cambridge snapped the image on her camera in 2018, when the family were at the Queen’s private Scottish home of Balmoral
The image shows the Queen holding Prince Louis, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s two other children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on either side of the Queen, with the Duke of Edinburgh sat next to Princess Charlotte.

Hide AdPeter Phillips’ daughters, Savannah and Isla, are also in the photo, alongside Zara and Mike Tindall’s children Lena and Mia.
The picture shows a snapshot of a typical day at Balmoral, where the Queen typically entertains family, friends and politicians during the summer months.
This photo comes as other members of the royal family are continuing to share images and tributes to the Duke of Edinburgh.

Hide AdPrince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall posted a black and white image on their official Twitter page of Prince Philip playing polo with his son in 1966.
Alongside this was also a more recent image of the duke with Charles and Camilla, at William and Kate’s Westminster Abbey wedding in 2011.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also shared an image on their official Twitter account, which was taken at Balmoral in 2015 and shows the couple with their children, George and Charlotte, alongside the Queen and Prince Philip.

Princess Eugenie posted a touching tribute to her grandfather on Instagram, writing: “We all miss you. You would be so touched by all the tributes that have been shared with me the past few days.”The Princess went on to say, “I remember learning how to cook, how to paint, what to read. I remember laughing at your jokes and asking about your spectacular life and service in the navy. I remember incinerating the sausages and you swooping in to save the day. I remember your hands and your laugh and your favourite beer.”The post ended with the words: “Thank you for your dedication and love for us all and especially Granny, who we will look after for you.”
