Katie Ashby, The D-Day Darlings said: “We’ll Meet Again is one of my most favourite songs and to have the opportunity to release this wonderful song, with such a strong message, through these dark days is so poignant, we’re so proud to have the beautiful Shirlie Kemp joining us on this song, she truly is a Darling and, with a shared passion for our cause, we felt there was no one more fitting to join us on our album.”

Shirlie Kemp said: “We’ll Meet Again is such a powerful message to friends, families and loved ones, especially as our generation is going through an unprecedented time. I don’t think there was a more fitting song to sing at this time of great separation.”

To mark the release of We’ll Meet Again, the D-Day Darlings have joined with Shirlie Kemp, to create a ‘make do and mend’ remote music video that reflects how people can still keep in touch by using such brilliant forms of technology and a message of hope that We Will Meet Again.

Produced by Tim Woodcock (Little Mix, John Newman, The Wanted), the original album consists of iconic wartime classics, including White Cliffs of Dover, We’ll Meet Again and 2 original songs I’ll Remember You and Mary (a tribute to Mary Ellis, the last female spitfire pilot who passed away in July 2018) both co-written with Katie Ashby. Each song on the album evokes the emotional family stories that the group’s members have with the World Wars.
