PUPILS at a town infants school travelled back in time for a castle day.
Year One children at Southbrook Infants School got a taste of medieval life as their school hall was transformed into a castle on Monday.
The event was organised as part of the pupils’ ongoing history lessons this term.
The budding young knights made soap, ink, lamps and gargoyles amongst other tasks.
The youngsters also held a special tasty banquet and acted as court jesters, jugglers and mummers throughout the day.
They also raised a toast to our dragon slaying patron saint as the event was held on St George’s Day.
