A JUNIOR school is running ‘university’ afternoons to help enhance youngsters’ learning.

Falconer’s Hill came up with the idea and now runs the sessions for one hour every Friday.

Staff are running activities including singing, street dance, card making and cooking.

The school also enlists the help of parent volunteers who work with a group on its vegetable beds.

Other activities include football skills, judo and the Eat Healthy, Live Healthy Project

Learning mentor Debbie Barton said: “The children are enjoying new things and staff are enjoying sharing hobbies and talents.”
