A TEENAGER was left with two wounds after being stabbed on a Daventry street on Friday night.

Police say the victim and his girlfriend were walking along Fraser Close between 9pm and 9.15pm after having been to the shop on Nelson Close on the town’s Southbrook estate.

They were approached by a group of around 10 other young people. Officers say some words were exchanged, the group surrounded the couple, and the victim was punched in the face by someone who then walked off.

The victim then noticed he had received two puncture wounds which required hospital treatment.

The group of around 10 young people are described as wearing dark clothes.
