The closure between A361 junction and Charwelton Lane on the Hellidon Road Bridge began in June because of a weak railway bridge.

The bridge repairs are listed for completion on January 8, 2020.

Drivers have been diverted around the road by heading north to Staverton then on to Badby Lane and the A361 to Charwelton.

But last week, work began on the A361 to the road surface and, according to roadworks.org, is likely to continue until September 11.

On August 20, contractors also started work on the A425 in Staverton, which will continue until September 7.
