Woman killed in M1 crash involving van and lorry in Northamtonshire
A woman has died following a crash on the M1 in Northampton this morning.
The fatal crash happened near junction 15 for Northampton in the early hours of today (Friday).
At about 12.50am, a blue Ford Transit Connect van was in collision with the back of a white MAN lorry on the northbound carriageway, approximately one and a quarter miles south of junction 15, near to where a lane was closed for roadworks.

Hide AdThe driver of the Ford Transit, a woman from the Rugby area, died at the scene.
The lorry driver, who was from Manchester, was unhurt.

The M1 northbound was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the collision and re-opened shortly before 8am.
