The I’m In to Win scheme is an incentive scheme run by the Northamptonshire Waste Partnership which aims to encourage more people to take advantage of the kerbside food waste recycling schemes offered by their local councils.

All people need to do is register their details online at www.feedyourcaddy.co.uk and then make sure they put out their food waste caddy for collection as normal each week.

Each month, four regular recyclers are selected from the list of those who have registered to win prizes ranging from free leisure centre passes to experiences and days out as well as vouchers for local shops and restaurants.

The winners for January have been announced as follows:

Elaine Atherton, of Kilsby, who chose a voucher for Buddies Diner

Lauren Whittaker, of Silverstone, who also chose a Buddies Diner voucher

Ian Cameron, of Corby, who chose a Bradbury’s Butchers voucher

I’m in To Win is fully funded by a central Government grant and is open to residents in the Corby Borough, Daventry District, East Northamptonshire and South Northamptonshire Council areas. So far over 2,500 households have registered to take part.

Cllr Chris Millar, chairman of the Northamptonshire Waste Partnership, said: “We are delighted to announce the first set of I’m In to Win prize winners and would like to thank them for their recycling efforts.

“There are some great prizes up for grabs every month and I would encourage everyone to register to be in with a chance of winning.”
