A WOMAN was assaulted after getting off a bus in Daventry

Police are appealing for witnesses following the assault, which happened outside the fish and chip shop on Hemans Road.

The 46-year-old woman got off a Stagecoach bus before being deliberately tripped up.

This caused her to stumble and bang her head and arm on a safety rail. An altercation followed.

The assault happened on Tuesday, March 15 at about 1.05pm.
