Children got up-close to some exotic and weird animals when staff from a pet store paid them a visit.

The children at Whilton and Brington Preschool got a visit from the staff of the pet department at Whilton Locks Garden centre. They took along a whole selection of creatures for the preschoolers to hold and stroke, these included a bearded dragon, lizard, tarantula and lots more.
A spokesman for the preschool said: “The children learnt so much about their visitors and had a fantastic hands-on experience.”
Whilton and Brington Preschool have some places available from September, please contact Jenny for more details 01604 770084.
