Youngsters from Weedon Bec Primary School performed much-practised ballroom dances in front of a live audience in the Junior Strictly regional finals.
On July 11, 12 Year Four pupils entertained a 700-strong crowd including loudly cheering parents and friends with their cha, cha, cha and American Smooth at the Derngate Theatre.
The children had previously placed fourth in the county-wide, Junior Strictly Northampton competition, on June 13.
Practice of both dances took place at school during their lunch and break times for only six weeks before the first competition.
One child said: “It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to other school children.
“I will have the memory of dancing at the Deco and the Derngate Theatres for the rest of my life and was thrilled we got through to the regional finals.”
The theatre was turned into a ballroom with a glitter ball.
