Warning over rise in arson attacks in Daventry

A FIRE official is warning people to be vigilante after a spate of arson attacks around Daventry.

A total of 12 fires have been deliberately set on Borough Hill since February.

Officers from Northamptonshire’s Fire and Rescue Service have tackled arson attacks on patches of grass, vehicles, bins, bushes and wooden fences.

Just two weeks ago a petrol bomb which was thrown into Danetre School, near to Borough Hill, narrowly missing children taking part in a PE lesson.
