HIGH-speed rail campaigners have arranged a protest walk this weekend.

Villagers in Priors Hardwick will meet at the Lower End Green at 3pm on Sunday before setting off on a 50-minute walk to Bridge 128.

The protesters believe the proposed HS2 line from London to Birmingham would ‘destroy a unique area’ if the plans get the Government go ahead.

The walk will aim to remind people in the area of what could be lost if the line is built.

If you would like to join in the walk or find out more information call Joy on 01327 261834 or Carolyn on 01327 260309.

The national consultation on HS2 closes on July 29.
