They show once again that the village secondary schools out performed the ones in Daventry.

They also show schools outside the Daventry area, where many local students choose to study, out-performing our local schools.

The key figure in the tables are the percentage of students achieving five or more grades A* to C including English and maths.

For Guilsborough Academy that figure was 67 per cent; at Campion School 61 per cent.

In Daventry the Parker E-ACT Academy achieved 46 per cent; DSLV 37 per cent; and Daventry UTC eight per cent.

The January version of the performance tables are the ‘definitive’ ones now as, for the first time, initial versions of the tables were released by the Government in October, allowing families to view them before making school applications.

In those initial tables the schools all received the same figures, except DSVL and Parker, which had lower scores of 35 and 45 per cent respectively.
