Village asked to support annual feast

Organisers of the Long Buckby Feast 2013 are appealing to villagers for their financial support and help.

The annual feast, which raises money for worthy causes in the village through a variety of stalls and a pudding
competition, is unlikely to be able to secure funding from the Northamptonshire Community Foundation this year as they have been generous in their grant to the feast for the past four years.

As a result organisers are looking for individual sponsors who are prepared to donate small sums (between £5 and £10) to the feast.

Their money will then be match funded by the online charity, Local Giving if they sign up to before the beginning of May. Organisers can also claim an extra 25 per cent on top of the original donation value in gift aid.
