It contains plans to meet local housing needs and improve recreation facilities.

The six-week consultation launched on Tuesday, 28 August 2018 and will close at 4.30pm on Friday 12 October 2018.

It's open to comments and submissions made during the period will be passed to the independent examiner appointed to inspect the plan.

The draft Neighbourhood Development Plan for Staverton can be viewed online, or at Daventry Library in North Street, or in Staverton at The Countryman pub in Daventry Road and Skylark Field Farm in Shuckburgh Road.

Following the consultation and examination process, if the results are positive, parishioners will be asked in a referendum whether they support the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan.

The plan must receive support from more than half of those voting for it to be ‘made’ by Daventry District Council.

If approved, it will form part of the wider development plan for Daventry District up to 2029 and will be used to help decide planning applications in the Staverton neighbourhood area.
