VIDEO: The Flying Scotsman returns after 10 year restoration this week
The locomotive will be touring the country on its inaugural run on Thursday, February 25, on its journey from London to York.
The outward journey from London Kings Cross leaves at 7:40am, arriving at York at approximately 12:30pm.

Hide AdThe nearest stations to Northamptonshire where it will pass through are Peterborough and Biggleswade.
It will pass through again on June 18 on its way back to London, after making its way from King’s Cross, through Biggleswade, Sandy, Peterborough, then Spalding, Sleaford, Lincoln, Gainsborough and Grantham, before returning along the East Coast main line.

Restoration of the locomotive started in 2004 at the National Railway Museum in York, when it was bought for the nation.
