Multiple British and European trials bike champion Danny Butler wowed spectators at the Cyclefest event at Daventry Country Park.
Danny performed a range of impressive jumps, tricks and stunts as part of his Extreme Mountain Bike Show, one of the many attractions at Saturday’s free event.
The fourth annual event was organised by Daventry District Council with support from a range of partners including Cycle Northants, Daventry Cycling Club and Daventry-based Leisure Lakes Bikes.
The event featured pedal-powered smoothie makers, Scalextric game and sound system, a selection of weird, wonderful and retro bicycles to try out as well as balance and circus skills workshops from The Joker Entertainment.
The aim of the event is to inspire people to have a go at cycling and discover the benefits it can offer.
Cllr Alan Hills, DDC’s community, culture and leisure portfolio holder, said: “Thank you to all our partners for helping put on such a fantastic free event for families. Everyone who came along seemed to have a great day and hopefully one or two were inspired to take up cycling.”
