A MASKED gang forced their way into a Co-Op in Brixworth early this morning (Tuesday).

Two staff members arrived for work at the store in Hunters Way at 5.30am and were forced by three people all wearing balaclavas to go inside the store.

They forced the staff to open the safe and made off with cash and cigarettes. No weapons were used and neither staff members were injured in the incident.

Two of the men were wearing light grey hooded tops, black tracksuit bottoms with a single white stripe down the sides, white gloves, white baseball caps, light-coloured face coverings and white trainers.

The third man was wearing a navy blue hooded top, light grey tracksuit bottoms with a single black stripe down the side, grey gloves, a baseball cap with a red peak, black trainers or pumps and a black face covering.

It is believed the offenders used a blue saloon vehicle.

Police would like to speak to anyone in the Hunters Way area at around 5.30am and who saw suspicious activity. Anyone with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
