An array of drama, art and music will be descending on the town over the next two weeks with the launch of Daventry Arts Festival.
The festival starts tomorrow (Friday) and runs until Sunday, July 21.
A dancing show, a singing show, outdoor theatre, a brass concert, artists exhibition and a series of workshops will be held across various town centre locations.
It is the third year of the town’s arts festival. The first two were previously organised by the now defunct Daventry Business Partnership.
However Daventry and District Housing (DDH) has taken on organising this year’s event.
Sarah Sims, community development officer at DDH, said: “It would have been such a shame to see the arts festival disappear.
“This event really brings together the community and celebrates the local cultural diversity.
“The festival provides the chance for local people to showcase the tremendous talents in the area and gives families many hours of enjoyment.
“It promises to be a fantastic couple of weeks and we hope the festival can go from strength to strength in the coming years.”
