Police are on the hunt for two men after a woman was threatened and robbed of her engagement ring and Fitbit watch in Helicopter Park, Daventry yesterday (January 28).

The incident took place between 7.10pm and 7.30pm when the woman - in her thirties - was approached from behind by two men as she walked along the path near to the Grovelands entrance.

The men, wearing balaclavas, threatened her with a weapon believed to be a knife and stole the victim's diamond engagement ring and white Fitbit watch. The thing had a large stone in the centre with smaller diamonds embedded in the gold band.

Both of the offenders are described as possibly being in their early twenties. One was white and of a slim build and the other was black and of a stocky build. At least one of the offenders was wearing fitted, cycling type clothing and a black t-shirt.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen two men running away from the park between the stated times or who may have been offered a diamond gold ring for sale in unusual circumstances."
