Two men arrested in connection with police car set on fire in Daventry

Two men have been arrested in connection with an incident of arson in Daventry last week, in which a police car was set on fire.

The men, aged 17 and 21, both from Daventry, were arrested on Thursday (November 12) and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The Vauxhall Astra patrol vehicle was parked at the Danetre Garage on the West March Industrial Estate when it was set on fire just after 1am, on Tuesday, 10 November.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
