A free-range turkey farm near Daventry was featured on the radio at the weekend after a flying visit from a team from the BBC.
Annabel Amos called in at Newbold Turkeys near Staverton on Saturday as part of from BBC Radio Northampton Treasure Quest.
Rachel Jeffries who runs the farm with her husband Tome said: “We were the treasure at the end of a Treasure Quest run against the clock and for BBC Radio Northampton against a competitor in another car across the 3Counties Radio area.
“Annabel had to find us from information given by listeners in response to a clue, my thanks in particular to Alan and Richard who called in with local knowledge and got her to us just in time! She got to us about 11.45am with minutes to spare and had to touch both a bronze and a white turkey.”
The family farm at Newbold Grounds near Staverton, focuses on rearing free-range turkeys, and processing their birds on site. And they now sell them direct to customers at the farm or via orders.
