
Traffic tailed back for about eight miles on two stretches of the M1 southbound near Northampton on Monday morning.
And roadworks on the A43 is caused more tailbacks at the A45 eastbound exit in Northampton with "moderate" delays of up to ten minutes.
Highways England reported a broken down vehicle on the M1 at around 7am with queues tailing back to Junction 15 on the stretch towards Milton Keynes.

And about an hour later, a second breakdown was spotted at the Northampton turn off.
Traffic officers are on scene of both incidents but the congestion is described as "severe" and drivers are being warned to expect delays up 25 minutes or more until around 9am.
Drivers are also being advised to take care and "keep your distance" as heavy rain hits the area on Monday.
