A second accident is causing more queues on the M1 southbound in Northamptonshire on Friday morning.

Highways England reported a collision between an HGV and a car closing two lanes southbound between Junction 16 and Junction 15A for the A43.

Traffic was reported to be stacking back for up to three miles at 10.15am

An earlier crash also involving lan HGV and a car on the same stretch caused 40-minute tailbacks.
