Drivers are facing massive delays on the M1 BOTH WAYS through Northamptonshire on Wednesday lunchtime.

A collision is causing massive tailbacks southbound from Junction 15

And Highways England is reporting traffic queueing for up to 90 minutes while pot-hole repairs are carried out on the Northampton to Crick section northbound.

A spokesman said: "A traffic collision is causing severe delays on the M1 southbound between Junction 15 at Northampton and Junction 14 for Milton Keynes on Wednesday (July 8).

"Emergency services are on the scene but delays are currently estimated at one hour and we do not expect event to be cleared until 3.30pm.

"There are also delays northbound between Junction 16 and Junction 18, although these are now starting to ease."
