AN OVERTURNED lorry and the fear of a potential spill of human waste closed a rural road this morning.
The driver was trapped for more than four hours after his vehicle fell onto the driver’s side on the Banbury Lane in Moreton Pinkney.
The Environment Agency was involved with the incident after it was thought the lorry’s cargo comprised human waste, but it later emerged the load was not hazardous.
Fire crews worked carefully to free the man from the vehicle following the accident just after 9am. The driver was airlifted to hospital.
The road is currently closed by police and the incident is ongoing.
