Sunny smiles lit up Crick Marina over the Bank Holiday weekend for one of the UK’s largest canal boating shows.
Thousands of visitors descended on the village for the Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival.
The marina was transformed for the popular event with some of the boats being hoisted onto the site after arriving by road.
Some of the attractions included a fun fair, food and craft marquees, live music, wildlife displays and family activities.
As well as showcasing thousands of inland waterways products and services, the Crick Boat Show featured boat trips, free traditional fairground rides, Punch and Judy shows, face-painting, arts and crafts stands and a large variety of food and drink stalls.
Television presenter Julia Bradbury was a special guest at the show. The presenter for Canal Walks and Countryfile was there to give a talk about how her love of walking and her career.
William and Jayne Allen, who live near Rugby, were at the event for the first time.
“We are really impressed with the show,” said William.
“The fine weather helped put everyone in a good mood.”
The couple particularly enjoyed viewing the boats for sale. “They are beautiful,” said Jayne. “I don’t think we will be buying one though.”
The Crick Boat Show is organised by Waterways World in partnership with the Canal and River Trust and Crick Marina.
