Daventry's community ranger has left his post.

Sean Croke held the role since May this year and was a popular figure around town.

The town council is looking for a permanent replacement.

"Daventry Town Council wishes to thank Sean Croke, DTC Ranger, for all his hard work and dedication to the role as today he embarks on a new and exciting venture," said a town council spokeswoman.

"Sean has been an asset to both the town and the team and will be sorely missed by all.

"New Age Training and Recruitment, who provide DTC’s Town Ranger, has confirmed that, until a permanent replacement has been found, the role will be filled with temporary rangers, on an interim basis."
