Daventry Area Community Transport will be operating a free park and ride service from the car park in Chaucer Way, Daventry to the Country Park, starting from 10.30am. There will be refreshments available, a bouncy castle and face painting.

This is the sixth annual cinema day organised by Daventry District Council in partnership with Futures Housing Group (formerly Daventry & District Housing) and Daventry Town Council.

Councillor Alan Hills, portfolio holder for community, culture and leisure at Daventry District Council, said: “The Family Cinema Day at Daventry Country Park just grows in popularity year-on-year so we’re really pleased to be able to put it on again for families to enjoy. We’ve got two great family films for people to enjoy so I would encourage people to bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy the atmosphere.”

The Family Cinema Day takes place during Love Parks Week (July 15 to 24), a national celebration of our parks and green spaces.
