AFTER four years of fundraising success, Kim Donald and her husband have this year raised their biggest amount yet for the Air Ambulance Service.

The pair raised £1,882.45 from a tombola, raffle and cake stall on the village green in Braunston on Saturday.

Barcalys Bank donated £1,500 to match their proceeds bronging their grand total up to £3,382.45 for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Service.

Organiser Kim Donald said: “The event has snowballed since my mother suggested having a cake stall on the green to me four years ago. Since then it has just gotten bigger by adding a tombola and various stalls.

“I didn’t expect to raise that much money at all, it went very very well.”

The event was busy from 9 until 1 with a bustling crowd on the green.

Mrs Donald added: “A lot of people came to support it and it was a real treat.

“We raised £200 more than last year and we had the Barclays money which was great.”
