Shoppers at Tesco in New Street, Daventry, raised £183.80 for Time2Talk.

The supermarket held the fundraising day on October 16 to mark the store’s 15th birthday.

Time2Talk is based in Daventry’s Abbey Centre and offers counselling and advice on a wide range of issues, including drugs, bullying, smoking, depression, eating disorders, alcohol, and sexual health to people aged 13 to 25.

There was a raffle for customers, and staff paid to dress up for the day.

Time2Talk were also invited to run an information display on their work.

Tesco’s community champion Michele Hawes said: “It was fantastic to hand over this amount, and hearing how important this provision is for the community.”
