Teenager who died in crash is named

THE teenager who died in a crash on the A361 on Saturday has been named.

Gemma Stanley, 19, from Coventry, died following the accident which happened north of Ashby St Ledgers.

The crash took place at 4.50pm on the road towards Kilsby, when for reasons yet unknown a green Ford Focus was in collision with a black Range Rover.

As a result of the collision Gemma, who was a passenger in the Focus, died at the scene.

The 24-year-old man who was driving the Focus was airlifted to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry where he remains in a critical condition.

The 64-year-old man driving the Range Rover was taken to Northampton General Hospital but was later released.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this crash.
