Teenage girl assaulted in Daventry

POLICE have launched a fresh appeal after a teenage girl was assaulted on Tuesday morning

The 14-year-old was attacked whilst walking along a footpath on the Fishpond playing fields on the Southbrook Estate between 8am and 8.30am.

The girl was approached by two females, one of whom assaulted her without provocation by grabbing her arm and squeezing it causing minor bruising.

The two females are described as white, aged about 16 and of average build.

The offender is described as being about 5ft 5in tall. She had dark brown/black hair which was shoulder length and straight.

She had a clear complexion apart from a few spots on her forehead, spoke with a local accent and was wearing a black long sleeved hoody with the hood down.

The hoody had Helly Hansen written with a red ‘H’ and the rest of the writing was in white.

She was also wearing navy blue tracksuit bottoms and black Nike trainers.

The female accompanying the offender is described as being about 5ft 3in tall. She had dark hair tied in a bun, a clear complexion, and was wearing a white vest top with a black cardigan and black leggings.

The second female appeared to be with the first, but she did not get involved or encourage the assault and is sought only as a witness.
