Big Issue seller Ramona (pictured) will be among those in Daventry to benefit from a 60-mile charity cycle taking place next year.

Team Daventry - made up of friends Martyn Wood, Pip Scriven, Nigel Anderson, Cameron Farden, Kerrie Hitchens and Chris Ball - are raising as much as they can for all of the charities that are based in or have shops in Daventry, as well as 38 national charities, by riding 60 miles around the town next June. They have already raised £425.

Anyone wishing to donate can deposit cash into collection tins at Kuni’s Coffee in Bowen Square, Friday’s in High Street and Cafe Viuna in Chapel Lane, or make a bank transfer into the dedicated Team Daventry Nationwide account: sort code 07 10 40, account number 64055903.

Chris Ball said: “We would like to thank everyone who has embraced our cause by displaying the flyer in their shops - the list is too long to mention everyone.

“We are very humble at the response we have received - it is by purely word of mouth, without the need for sponsor forms or a JustGiving link.”

Further information about the cycle ride is available at charity shops in the town and other outlets including Vidals, Tesco and Costa Coffee.
