PEOPLE on a Daventry estate may have been forgiven for thinking they were in the midst of a sci-fi adventure, after a TARDIS appeared.
The iconic blue space and time travelling machine materialised in the back garden of a house on Daventry’s Timken estate.
It was built by Stuart Cherry, and his son Keiran, 17, for his younger son Keifer, five, who is a big Doctor Who fan.
The blue box was a surprise birthday present for young Keifer.
Mr Cherry had to build the box at another address, and then assemble and paint it in the garden at night to make it a surprise for Keifer when he woke up the following morning.
