An Olympic torchbearer is on the look-out for talented swimmers with a disability in Daventry.

David White will hold a talent identification session at Daventry Leisure Centre on Sunday, October 13 from 5pm until 6pm.

Working with Northamptonshire Sports and the local swimming clubs, he said his aim was to see if he could find a future star, but also to encourage disabled people to take up swimming and use the local swimming clubs.

He added: “My job is
to work with our future
Paralympic hopefuls to move them towards Rio and Tokyo and beyond.”

You must be able to swim 25 metres or more to be involved. For more information or to book your free place, contact Mr White on 07584025154 or email dave.white@swimming.org.
