YOUNGSTERS aiming to turn their lives around have completed a 12-week course to get back on track.
The 16 to 25-year-olds graduated from Daventry’s Prince’s Trust programme on Friday. The aim of the course is to give educational underachievers and the long-term unemployed the chance to learn new skills.
One person who did just that was 18-year-old Amy Simmons, who has now started a job as a cleaner at Daventry College.
She said: “Before the course I wasn’t doing anything and it’s given me a lot more confidence and belief in myself. I would say to anyone who is thinking about joining the course that it’s a great experience and provides people with lots of skills and confidence.”
