The annual St George’s Day Parade will gather at Chaucer Way Car Park at 1.45pm and parade to New Street Recreation Ground.

The town council is also giving out hand held flags to spectators who wish to line the route and, prior to the parade children are invited to make their own crown at a special “Crown Craft” event being held at Daventry Library from 10am to 11.30am.

St George’s Day 2016 also marks a special anniversary for England’s most popular dramatist and author William Shakespeare who died 400 years ago on April 23 1616.
