Specsavers in Daventry looking to make charity donation

SPECSAVERS in Daventry is donating £1 from every pair of glasses it sells this week to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

The store in Bowen Square is taking part in a Midlands-wide initiative and will also have BHF pin badges on sale and is offering a free MOT on glasses in return for donations.

The staff will also be collection unwanted items for re-sale at the BHF shop in Daventry.

The £1 donation week is aiming to raise a total of £20,000 across the region.

Store director Dal Purewal said: “As providers of health care we are keen to work with associated organisations which help treat and educate people, and so hopefully this initiative will have not only raised valuable funds but also awareness.”

The event started yesterday (Sunday) to Saturday.
