POLICE are investigating six thefts from vans and cars in Barby and Braunston.
The force believe the incidents, which have occured throughout September and October, could be linked.
Works tools were stolen in separate inicdients from a Fiat works van in Daventry Road, Barby on September 4, a Vivaro works van in The Greenway, Braunston on September 5, a Citroen works can in Ware Orchard, Barby on October 8 and a Volkswagen works van in Church Road, Braunston on October 18.
Also taken were a laptop bag from a Vauxhall Corsa in Ware Orchard, Barby on October 8 and number plates stolen from a Ford Fiesta in The Ridgeway, Barby on October 16.
Sergeant Paul Valentine, of Daventry police, said: “The investigations are ongoing into these offences and we have stepped up night patrols in the area.
“Our advice to car owners is never to leave valuables on display in their vehicle and we would recommend van owners remove tools from their vehicles overnight.”
The mobile police station will be in Barby on Wednesday between 2pm and 7pm. Police will be on hand to offer crime prevention advice and gather information.
