AN INFANT school has written to the government to complain about changes made to admission timelines.
Long Buckby Infant School has sent a letter to the Minister for Education Michael Gove to outline its concerns.
In previous years, the closing date for applications was November but now it is January.
It means the school does not know how many pupils will join for the next academic year which is causing problems.
It does not know if an additional class or new staff is needed or whether the spare classroom needs to be renovated for a new class.
Chair of governors, Cei Davies Linn said: “It is adding to a lot of stress for the staff and parents as we don’t know what will be happening next year and it makes it difficult to plan.
“We write in the hope this will be changed next year.”
