Scarecrows are ready to rock at village festival this weekend

AROUND 40 scarecrows will be hanging around as part of a special village event this weekend.

The Crick Scarecrow and Rock Weekend takes place on July 14 and 15 when brochures and a map will be available from the post office.

A free music festival will take place on Bury Dyke where there will be music from 12pm till 7pm on Saturday and 12pm till 6pm on Sunday.

Market stalls, food stalls and a beer tent will also be set up and there will be a Funfair, weather permitting.

Highlights also include three performances from Circus Sensible on the Crick events field. These will take place on the Sunday and include free children’s workshops inbetween performances.

A local history exhibition will be held in the village hall and cream teas will be on offer at various locations.

All proceeds raised will go to local charities.
